Terms of Use

These terms govern every visit, search, and use of Douglas County Court Docket. By continuing to use the site, you agree to these conditions. Stop using it if you do not accept them. The terms are effective September 7, 2026.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site is not affiliated with Douglas County Circuit Court, the Clerk of Courts, Wisconsin, or any government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a consumer report. Content and linked tools may not be used for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

Douglas County Court Docket is an independent reference resource. It does not store official court records, operate WCCA, file papers, change settings, or act for a public office. It directs visitors to Douglas County Circuit Court, the Clerk of Courts, Wisconsin case-search services, and outside research tools.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is general information. It cannot replace an official docket, certified copy, court order, or advice from counsel. Confirm facts that matter with Michele Wick's Douglas County Clerk of Courts office at 1313 Belknap Street, Room 309, Superior, WI 54880, or with the court that holds the original record.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using the service, you agree not to:

  • Violate federal, Wisconsin, or local law
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm another person
  • Use content for any FCRA-regulated decision
  • Seek unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools
  • Disrupt access or impose an unreasonable technical load

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Douglas County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not prepare credit reports, background checks, or other consumer reports. You may not use site content or linked search results to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a tenant or housing applicant
  • Set credit terms or insurance eligibility
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose the FCRA regulates

Anyone needing a lawful consumer report must use a qualified FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship or constitutes legal advice. General descriptions of Wisconsin dockets cannot determine how a charge, deadline, filing, or order applies to one matter. Consult a licensed Wisconsin attorney for legal advice.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

The site and all content are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Information will always be complete, correct, or current
  • Access will be continuous or uninterrupted
  • Pages will contain no defects or security risks
  • An outside provider's result will be complete or accurate

Court information changes as cases are filed, settings move, rulings enter, and records are corrected, restricted, or sealed. Wisconsin electronic access also follows rules including Wis. Stat. § 801.19 through § 801.21. Verify the current record with the originating clerk.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to the Douglas County Clerk, WCCA, Wisconsin courts, legal resources, advertisers, or outside search services. Those operators control their own content, prices, uptime, privacy practices, and terms. We are not responsible for an external service. Review its rules before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Douglas County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create another work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage resulting from use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on its content, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, expenses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Wisconsin law governs these terms. Any dispute related to use of the site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Wisconsin. Wis. Stat. § 19.35 governs access to public-authority records and does not make this private site a records custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be changed by posting a revised version. The revision takes effect when published unless the new text states otherwise.
